Give Kids A Smile

One of Delta Dental of Missouri’s most important initiatives is Give Kids A Smile, where free dental care is given to children at two-day clinics that are held twice a year at the St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education. Delta Dental of Missouri is a leading and founding sponsor of the event where infants, toddlers and kids up to age 15 receive treatment from hundreds of volunteer dental professionals. Services include x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments and sealants, as well as restorations, root canals and oral surgery. At Give Kids A Smile events each year, hundreds of volunteers, including Delta Dental of Missouri colleagues, help patients receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in free dental care. Services are provided in a fun, kid-friendly environment as Delta Dental’s Tooth Wizard and Spanish-speaking Tooth Fairy greet kids in the clinic arena, while face painters, balloon artists, games and music captivate kids, parents and teachers in a post-treatment entertainment area. Every child receives prizes, a dental care kit, healthy lunch and a book of their choice, which is donated by the St. Louis County Library Foundation.
